Rui Gomes is head of division for Education and Training at the Youth Department of the Council of Europe. Graduated in Law studies from the University of Coimbra, with experience in intercultural youth work, human rights education and youth policy, Rui is active in the Council of Europe campaign No Hate Speech Movement which seeks to mobilise young people for human rights online and educate against hate speech www.nohatepseechmovement.org. He has authored and co-authored various publications such as Compass, the Education Pack All Different – All Equal and Mosaic, a training-kit for Euro-Mediterranean youth work, published by the Council of Europe. Rui is based in the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg.
