David Martín Abánades is the Deputy Chief of the local police of Fuenlabrada (Madrid) and leads the Diversity Management team of the Local Police (pioneering in Spain). Member of the National Union of Chiefs and Directors of Local Police, he is also responsible for the management of social diversity in this association. UNIJEPOL is also part of the Platform for Police Diversity Management, and Police Expert at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), charged with improving relations between police and minorities. He has been a speaker at various international conferences all related to police identifications and stereotypes, Police Management of Social Diversity and hate crimes. Conferences at international organisations and institutions such as OSCE, the European Network Against Racism (ENAR), Defender of the Rights of the French Republic, the Colombian National Police, and the Police of the State of São Paulo.
