Special Prosecutor for hate crimes in Malaga
Maria Teresa Verdugo Moreno, Law degree from the University of Málaga (Spain) and Lyon (France).
Entered public prosecution in 2003, first in the office of the Permanent Affiliation of Melilla, where she ended up being Coordinator until her move to Málaga in 2006. In Melilla she began teaching various topics within the training courses for members of the Security Forces of the State, also collaborating with the School of Public Safety, where she was responsible for teaching criminal law and criminal procedural law to members of the local police.
Once in Málaga, since 2008 she was a part of the drug and money laundering division, having been appointed in 2011 Deputy Provincial Prosecutor of Criminal Offences relating to Stewardship Equality and Non-Discrimination, being thus exclusively responsible for the office of incardinated affairs in that specialty. In this city she has continued teaching various topics both to members of the Civil Guard and local police, invited by various bar associations in the province as well as various organizations responsible for the defense of human rights and equality.
